We are proud to share that Glanbia has been named by Forbes Magazine as one of the World’s Top Companies for Women 2024, based on the results of an independent survey.
This is the fourth year, that Forbes has ranked Glanbia in the World’s Top Companies For Women, an evaluation of organisations based on how they support their female employees.
Glanbia ranked in the top 200 companies, from more 6,000 companies surveyed in the evaluation.
Maureen Gibbons, VP Leadership, Culture & DEI, welcomed the news and said:
"We are honored to be ranked among such esteemed companies and it is great to see our efforts recognised. We have diligently worked to support women in our organisation and continue to prioritise increasing female participation in our management team. We are proud of how we foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture at Glanbia.”
In recent years, Glanbia has significantly changed the make-up of its Board with female membership now standing at 38%. We have also worked hard to ensure our global management population is now 40% female.
Glanbia’s new Family Leave policy has been welcomed this year along with our Smart Working Model which has been in place over the past three years and has contributed to a more positive employee experience. Flexibility is frequently cited by women as a highly valued aspect of their work/life balance - Smart Working comprises flexible hours, blended working and flex Fridays - all designed to offer employees flexibility while staying connected.
Glanbia’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) — such as Glanbia NoW, our women’s ERG, and our Multicultural and LGBTQIA+ ERGs are also in place for additional support and allow members have a voice on important matters to them within the business.
Produced in partnership with market research firm Statista, the Forbes ranking is based largely on survey responses from approximately 100,000 women working for multinational corporations across 37 countries. To qualify for consideration, each corporate group was required to operate in at least two of the six continental regions of the world (Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, North America and Oceania). Surveys were collected through anonymous online access panels, allowing participants to answer freely.
The employer brand score accounted for 50% of each company’s score; the public opinion score represented 30%; and the leadership score 15%. Ultimately, the 400 companies with the highest total scores made the ranking of the World’s Top Companies For Women 2024, were published.
