Our people are at the heart of our business and we are committed to nurturing a high performing, inclusive and respectful culture where each individual feels engaged, valued and supported to develop and grow. We want our people to feel passionate about our purpose, connected to our shared values and empowered to be their best. We consistently invest in their development and prioritise their health, safety and wellbeing at all times.
Culture & engagement
We believe that engagement is key to a strong internal culture. We’re listening to our people and acting on their feedback. Glanbia’s ‘Your Voice’ employee survey conducted in 2023 showed an increase in survey participation and overall engagement. The survey showed improvements in the areas of growth, wellbeing and action taking. We are committed to listening to our people, ensuring we can find a better way together.
Diversity, equity & inclusion
At Glanbia, we celebrate individuality, knowing that together we are more. We are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable culture where talent and individuality is nurtured, where people feel respected and valued for who they are and appreciated for the diverse perspectives they bring to Glanbia. Our Employee Resource Groups were established to provide support and community for our people. We continue to focus on our DEI education programmes and improving representation across our business in 2024 and beyond.
Developing our people
Glanbia's success is powered by our people and we know that our business grows when our people are enabled to develop their capabilities and skills. Our Talent and Leadership team leads the way in learning and development activity. In a world of change, a culture of continuous learning, developing new skills and strong leadership capabilities are key to enabling our business and our people to perform. Leading to Accelerate is one of our talent development programmes supporting emerging female leaders to grow, connect and develop a diverse network of female leaders.
Glanbia gender pay gap
Glanbia is committed to improving female representation and fostering a culture where every employee can succeed. We have designed and implemented programs to support our ambition of gender balance. This work continues to advance female representation across our organisation. In 2024 we saw an improvement in our upper quartile of female talent.
Health and Safety
The health and safety of our people is a key priority for us. We improved our health and safety performance again in 2023, with zero critical injuries reported. We scored well above food industry benchmarks for both Total Recordable Incident Rates (TRIR) and had a 5% improvement in Lost Time Cases (LTCs). We're driving action plans to ensure continuous improvements across all our sites and to maintain our zero critical injuries status.
Smart working
Smart Working is re-imagining how we work at Glanbia. We offer more flexible ways of working to deliver better business performance, greater productivity, support employee wellbeing, and a better work-life balance. We are committed to building an inclusive culture that empowers our people to thrive.
