Workplaces of the future are in sharp focus at the moment as modern, high performance businesses seek to create connected, hybrid workplaces where their employees can grow and thrive, while still feeling a sense of belonging and value to that organisation.
Exploring this theme, Glanbia’s Chief Human Resources Officer Sue Sweem was recently featured in a report commissioned by Leading Edge Group on High Performance Insights which focused on transforming workplaces of the future.
Sue spoke about Glanbia’s approach to connected, hybrid working through the lens of our new Smart Working model, which was devised to offer employees flexibility while staying connected.
Sue explains how Glanbia has adapted to the needs of the business with a sustainable hybrid model.
“At Glanbia we have seen a huge change to our ways of working and I believe the way we do business has been transformed forever since the onset of Covid-19. I look at these changes with a truly positive lens and believe that we as employers now have a chance to re-frame our work practices– staying connected, while moving towards high-performance, hybrid solutions.
I believe this hybrid model is people-centric and through the use of new technology and our own organisational design, we have a great framework from which to implement a truly connected hybrid working environment.
Our ways of working will continue to evolve but with one constant - our focus on our people. We have listened to our employees and we’ll continue to take their feedback on board as we evolve our model for the future.”
