The COVID-19 global pandemic has interrupted lives for Optimum Nutrition consumers around the world, including personal trainers who have lost their livelihood due to gym closures and social distancing measures. With the loss of both income and community, Optimum Nutrition wanted to help personal trainers during this difficult time.

In North America, Optimum Nutrition partnered with Michelob Ultra for Movement Live, which is weekly virtual workout classes that are donation based with a matching contribution from both brands. These donations will help support studio and fitness personnel who are out of work. The UK opened up their Personal Trainer Certification program for free in March and April, to help personal trainers gain some knowledge with the extra time. And Australia launched Prove it for PTs on Instagram, where as consumers complete challenges, the brand donates money to the featured personal trainer of the week.

Many personal trainers have been using social media to be virtual coaches, providing free workouts and inspiration while their clients adapted their fitness routines. Optimum Nutrition sought to recognize and thank personal trainers keeping us fit at home, and also rally a wider audience to help support them. Optimum Nutrition and our consumers are grateful for the personal trainer community –they not only keep us physically strong, but mentally strong as well.
