Health and wellness

Health & wellness play an increasingly important role as the burden from NCDs is expected to worsen. One person dies every 36
seconds from cardiovascular disease in the US (CDC) while one in five adults are expected to be obese by 2025 (McKinsey). Glanbia serves health and wellness throughout our portfolio of branded consumer goods and B2B nutrition solutions. 

Convenience

Convenience and changing lifestyles are driving an increase in frequency and volume of snacking. Half of FMCG
shopping baskets contain snacks and 41% of people, especially millennials, seek out snacks with less sugar (McKinsey). Glanbia serves convenience through capability in healthy snacking across our branded and nutrition solutions portfolio. 

Consumer trust

Consumer trust patterns have changed during the Covid-19 pandemic. Consumers are placing more emphasis on brands and labels that they trust. This trend favours Glanbia because of our trusted and established product and ingredient portfolio. 

Sustainable supply chains

Consumers want to know more about where the ingredients  in their food comes from. They want sustainability to be embedded in the supply chain. Sustainability has long been an embedded ambition for Glanbia and with our new long-term sustainability strategy, we have set ambitious targets for the future.
