Describe your role at Glanbia.
I oversee the commercial function for Glanbia Nutritionals in Asia Pacific. This includes guiding the sales team across Asia Pacific: a very diverse region with many different countries, languages, income levels and cultural preferences. Working in collaboration with local sales managers, we partner with our customers in the region to develop products that meet their requirements.
What do you like about working here?
The colleagues. I enjoy working with all different types of people, each with their own unique skill and knowledge to bring to the table but all with the same vision and values.
How would you describe the culture at Glanbia?
Glanbia is a very open company because we value transparency and honest but helpful feedback. We have great values which everyone subscribes to and do their very best to live day in day out.
What inspires or motivates you every day?
It is super exciting to be close to our customers. These can range from large and well known MNCs to high growth entrepreneurs looking to come out with a novel food innovation. Hearing an idea about a new nutritional food product from a customer or a sales person and then contributing through the stages of development, prototyping, negotiation, commercialisation, coordinating with different Glanbia colleagues globally, and then finally seeing the customer launch the product and being able to buy or see it on the shelf or online is really fun and inspiring for me. Knowing that I have a role in helping our customers bring new innovations to market gives me a real buzz.
