Our sustainability approach
Our sustainability strategy focuses on our people, our planet and our performance. By understanding our value chain and prioritising our most material impacts, risks and opportunities, we aim to operate more efficiently and transparently while delivering high-quality nutrition products.
CSRD explained
In 2025 we reported under the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). The EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the accompanying ESRS aim to enhance transparency, comparability and consistency in sustainability reporting across organisations.
Progressing our carbon reduction journey
In 2025, Glanbia achieved a 20% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared to our 2018 baseline, reflecting continued progress across our operations through energy efficiency improvements, renewable electricity use and lower-carbon initiatives.
We are building consistent visibility across our supply chain, tracking performance and identifying areas for improvement. This includes monitoring energy and resource use, strengthening responsible sourcing practices and ensuring data used is reliable and transparent.
Glanbia awarded Silver Medal by EcoVadis
Glanbia has been awarded a Silver Medal by EcoVadis, following an evaluation of our operational sustainability practices, placing us among the top 15% of companies assessed globally.
