Glanbia was very proud to be part of Breast Cancer Ireland’s Very Pink Run once again this year as Associate Sponsor of the event across three locations in Ireland.

The Very Pink Run took place in Dublin, Kilkenny and Cork (for the first time) and saw over 7,600 people take to the parks, roads and hills of their communities in an effort to raise much-needed funds for breast cancer research.

Pink tribes also took part from our Glanbia locations across the globe, with employees participating in 5k or 10k in their local communities in China, Singapore, Orsingen, and the USA.

The onsite events were hosted in Leopardstown Racecourse in Dublin, in the Castle Park in Kilkenny on Sunday and at MTU in Cork the following week.

The Very Pink Run is renowned for the sea of pink it creates wherever it goes with thousands of participants coming together in solidarity for breast cancer patients and their families. Glanbia hosted a marquee with food and treats enjoyed by our employees. The younger Glanbia kids also enjoyed face painting and games and lots of fun photo opportunities on location.

Well done to all who took part in this heart-warming event which saw almost €530,000 raised for Breast Cancer Ireland, which supports ground-breaking research into innovative treatments for breast cancer, with a view to a cure in the future. This research has already saved countless lives and has improved outcomes for millions of patients across the globe.

Well done to all who took part this year. Enjoy our video snapshot below.
