In October of this year the sod was officially turned on Glanbia Ireland’s new Innovation Centre in Ballyragget, Co Kilkenny. This new 2000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility represents a €15million investment and will further strengthen Glanbia Ireland’s capabilities to bring new food solutions to market. It also represents a new era of innovation for Glanbia Ireland and marks an important milestone in the strategic journey.

As a key enabler of our strategic ambition, the new Innovation Centre will allow Glanbia Ireland to grow a portfolio of value-added products over the coming years and well into the future. The centre I expected to be a creative hub and testing centre where the Glanbia Ireland team of innovative and passionate food technologists, nutritionists and scientists will collaborate and bring ideas to life. It will also provide the R&D team, of over 50 experts, with the capability to create an innovation pipeline that can bring products speedily and efficiently to market.

Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer, François Morgan is very proud of the new facility and what it will bring to customers in the future. “As part of the development, Glanbia Ireland will also be creating a world class customer experience destination to showcase how we live our mission to bring the passion of Irish farmers to the world. Constructing the new centre at Glanbia Ireland's largest production site in Ballyragget ensures that we capitalise on the existing infrastructure and services on site, it allows us to further strengthen our support of local communities and in time we will be very proud to showcase the best of Glanbia Ireland in the heartland of its heritage.

The new Innovation Centre is expected to be in operation towards the end of 2021.
