Describe your role at Glanbia.

As cheese plant manager I am responsible for managing all plant operations by providing leadership to the cheese plant team. This includes areas such as quality assurance, health and safety, manufacturing excellence, engineering and materials management. My ultimate responsibility is to ensure that the highest quality product is manufactured to meet the demands of our discerning customers.

What do you like about working here?

Every day presents an opportunity to draw the shared knowledge and experiences of the whole team together to solve the challenges that are presented. The attitude displayed by all of our team members ensures that there is a unique can do attitude which is a pleasure to direct.

How would you describe the culture at Glanbia?

There is a pride displayed by everyone that I have come into contact with. This applies to the heritage of the company in its achievements on a local, national and international stage. This pride extends to the products that we produce and the resilience of everyone and in the business in carving out a unique reputation for our products in Ireland. This quality is in conjunction with a progressive mind set and a willingness to question how things are done.

What inspires or motivates you every day?

The opportunity to play a role in ensuring the highest quality nutritious products are received by our customers. Being a member of a strong team in the cheese plant, the Ballyragget site and a pride in the company that I am part of.
