Describe your role at Glanbia.
I am the Sales Director for the Glanbia Performance Nutrition business in the UK. My team and I work with our customers on a daily basis to ensure that our brands are ranged & available for consumers to purchase across all of our channels, including High Street, Independent Stores, Gyms, E-commerce, Grocery & Convenience. I work closely with the team to develop & implement our customer plans to drive rate of sale & distribution across existing and new customers, in a sustainable way for both Glanbia & our partners. Internally, I spend a lot of time with stakeholders on ensuring we are working towards our vision for the UK business; whether that be around where we want to grow, aligning plans with the Shopper & Brand Marketing teams, developing the forward looking strategy for the UK business & how we can ultimately make our brands as available and desirable to the consumers & customers as possible.
What do you like about working here?
With a background in Sports Science & Nutrition, to work for a company that inspires people everywhere to reach their performance & healthy lifestyle goals is fantastic & you really feel like we are making a difference & helping our consumers. I’ve gained lots of experiences in different roles, have travelled with work to some fantastic places & got an understanding of different cultures & how our brands have a positive impact on people’s lives around the world.
How would you describe the culture at Glanbia?
First and foremost, the people at Glanbia are great. The business is certainly fast paced as there is a lot to achieve, but the people make it great fun – it’s never boring! There are lots of opportunities for growth, both for the business & personally, and this makes it a great place to work – you can get involved in a wide variety of projects & tasks that make a difference to the business. I’ve learnt an awful lot during my career in Glanbia & that’s because of the people I work with on a daily basis.
What inspires or motivates you every day?
Coming to work is never a chore. The people I work with inspire me as well as our brands & the role we play in helping people everywhere achieve their performance & lifestyle goals.
